A Royal Wedding Celebration

We invited our families and friends into school for a special afternoon to celebrate Prince Harry's wedding.
We all worked hard on the run up to prepare a delicious cream tea for our guests.
William's Mummy kindly gave up her morning to help us bake scones.

A range of fillings were needed for our sandwiches.

Butter,

jam,

cucumber and

ham!

After our scones had cooled we cut them in half and spread butter, jam or cream on top of them.

We had to keep our fingers back and be careful when peeling and chopping cucumber and carrot sticks.

We were surprised to see how quickly the runny cream thickened when we whisked it.

What an amazing spread!!! Good job we had so many special guests!!

A few costume changes later and we were ready!

We kept ourselves entertained by designing wedding dresses, wedding cake, cards and mugs. Making Union Jack flags and sparkly crowns fit for royalty.

The Union Jack was tricky to recreate!

We may not of had corgi dogs or horses but Button the tortoise proved equally as exciting!
And even he got hand fed a feast!

Some of us had 3 costume changes through out the afternoon - just like a real princess!!!

You can never have to many diamonds!

It was lovely to see different generations from different families joining us.

The excitement proved to much for some!!!

Will the next royal baby be as cute as this little man?

Some people were prepared to camp out to gain a sneaky peak at the bride and groom.

Funky dance moves!

We even had long lost guests returning from afar!

Then we ended with a royal cream tea, a very tasty spread!! All of which got eaten!

We all had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all that were able to join us and thank you for all your positive feedback.
